Sales of Petroleum Products

PJSC Sakhavostokneftegaz Bitumen Material Plant (BMP) produces a wide range of bitumen materials suitable for roads, roofing or airport sectors, we are actively in the production of modified bitumen, which will extend the life service and maintenance of roads from three years to seven years.

Asphalt

is a sticky, black, and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. It may be found in natural deposits or may be a refined product, and is classed as a pitch. Before the 20th century, the term asphaltum was also used. The word is derived from the Ancient Greek.

745,000tonnes

The Company Bitumen Material Plant (BMP) sold over 745 thousand tonnes of Bitumen in Russia, CIS and overseas for the year 2018. we also reached a new level in terms of the production of modified binder.

The primary use – (70%) of asphalt is in road construction, where it is used as the glue or binder mixed with aggregate particles to create asphalt concrete. Its other main uses are for bituminous waterproofing products, including production of roofing felt and for sealing flat roofs.

Naturally occurring asphalt is sometimes specified by the term “crude bitumen”. Its viscosity is similar to that of cold molasses, while the material obtained from the fractional distillation of crude oil boiling at 525 °C (977 °F) is sometimes referred to as “refined bitumen”.

Road bitumen

Road oil bitumen is obtained by the oxidation of products of direct distillation of oil and selective separation of oil products (de-asphalting asphalts, selective refining extracts). Another technology for producing bitumen is compounding (mixing).

Area of application: binder for the construction and repair of road and airfield coatings.

The company completed the program for setting up the production of bitumen according to the requirements of the new interstate standard GOST 33133-2014 of the technical regulation of the Customs Union.

The new standard implies the expansion of methods for assessing the quality characteristics that finished products should have. In accordance with the document, not only standard parameters are regulated, such as conditional viscosity indicators and resistance to high-temperature influences, but also the bitumen resistance to aging during its transportation and in the preparation of asphalt mix.

Bitumen emulsions, mastics

Bitumen emulsion is an optimally selected materials consisting of bitumen, emulsifier, water and other additives, which ensures the dispersion of bitumen particles in the aqueous phase.

Bitumen emulsion is used for road works, waterproofing structures, for surface treatment of asphalt during construction work.

Bitumen emulsions is in accordance with GOST R 52128-2003 are produced at the company’s refinery:

Polymer-bitumen binders (PBB)

Polymer-bitumen binders (PBB) – are materials based on modified bitumen by the addition of polymers such as SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) and plasticizers. Its improves the characteristics quality.

PBB are difference from traditional bitumen in its increased resistance to deformation; improved properties at high and low temperatures; increased resistance to aging.

PBB are used in road and airfield construction.

Building and roofing bitumen

Roofing bitumen grade oil is obtained by oxidation of residues of atmospheric vacuum distillation of oil. In contrast to the technology of road bitumen, the production of roofing grades should use lighter raw materials (less viscous), lower oxidation temperatures.

Petroleum coke

Production of petroleum coke is carried out at the PJSC Sakhavostokneftegaz Oil and Gas Refinery.

Calcined electrode coke is obtained by calcining raw coke from a delayed coking unit. Used in aluminum, anode industry, other sectors of the economy, as well as for export.

Calcined electrode coke of the KEP-2 grade (according to TU 38.301-19-75-96 (amend. 1-4)).

Total electrode coke is obtained by coking the residual straight-run, cracked products of oil refining. Designed for use in electrode and other industries, as well as for further calcination.

Total electrode coke, grade A (according to TU 38.301-19-99-99).

Needle coke

Needle coke is an expensive high-structured carbon product with a low content of metals and sulfur, used for the manufacture of graphite electrodes. Due to its properties, needle coke is used for the manufacture of electrodes with low electrical resistance and coefficient of thermal expansion. It is used in the metallurgical as well as nuclear, chemical and space industries.
